Nagpur Police in Maharashtra have filed an FIR against the city's former Congress president Sheikh Hussain for exploiting derogatory words against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The FIR was registered at Gittikhadan Station in Nagpur on Tuesday under Sections 294 (obscene acts and songs) and 504 IPC (intentional insult intended to impress breach of the peace). A senior congressional leader who requested anonymity said: “Frankly, we are shocked how Hussain was allowed to speak during the protest. For the last fifteen years he has been in the background. He is definitely not among the distinguished players in town.”

A BJP delegation, led by General Secretary Chandrashekhar Bawankule, headed to the station in Nagpur on Wednesday. Bawankule said: “We demand the immediate arrest of Hussain. If the police do not act, the BJP can launch intense agitation.”
BJP City Unit Chief Praveen Datke said: “We demand severe action against Hussain. however, he will use such derogatory language against the prime minister of the Asian nation.”
Who is Sheikh Hussain?
An activist of the Congress, the ruling Hussain has become the chairman of the Nagpur City Unity Congress recently. He was jointly the chairman of the Bada Taj Baug Trust. While he has been a continual presence within the party's protests and functions, his role was continually restricted within the organization, essentially dealing with minority issues within the party.

Slamming Hussain, BJP town chief Praveen Datke has alleged that Hussain took the money from the Taj Baug Trust donation box. "What right should I speak against the Prime Minister if he himself had no right to demand money from the Trust?" he asked him.
